MAMA, from Denver, Colorado, brings together a fearless union of musicians: Leonomadic on vocals, slide guitar and harmonica, guitarist/producer Jonny Barber, and a pirate ship of other rough necks, drifters, carnys, and wanderers including Chris "Squaredogg" Woodward on the drums, Jeremy Barber on guitar, and engineer Ian P. Gilchrist, to create songs heralding in a 21st Century update of industrial blues and rock that are most often compared to a modern-day Led Zeppelin. Fitting also is the fact that Denver, Colorado, was where the mighty Zeppelin made their first ever U.S. appearance.
